Can I complete the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course at Care Training?

We do not provide ESOL at Care Training East Midlands or Central Skills. We run Literacy (reading and writing) courses, but these are recommended to people who can speak fluent English.

Can I complete the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) course at Care Training?

You can complete the ECDL course at certain learndirect centres, but not at Care Training’s. You can complete one of the Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAiT) qualifications at our centre.

You can choose between New CLAiT (Level 1) and CLAiT Plus (Level 2). These qualifications are ideal for anyone wanting to work as an administrator. You can tailor them to your needs, choosing which modules you wish to complete. Click here for more information on the CLAIT course >>

If you still prefer to complete EDCL, you can find a learning centre that delivers it on the ECDL Foundation website: www.ecdl.org

Why don't CTEM and Central Skills have a prospectus?

Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills’ provision varies and changes from time to time, dependent on availability and improvements to the service. The constant changing of funding eligibility and range of courses means that if we produced a prospectus showcasing our full range, it would become out of date quite soon. See our Courses section for our online prospectus.

In addition, the training varies across a wide range of vocational sectors and can be tailored to the learners needs and circumstances.

Therefore, when requesting information, please be assured that information has been selected tailored to your personal enquiry. This makes Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills more focused on supporting individual and organisational development needs.
