a jobs fair was organised by Care Training East Midlands, Partnerships in Care and Allied Healthcare at The Village Hotel in
Beeston, Nottingham.
About the exhibitors
Partnerships in Care is the largest independent provider of secure mental health facilities across the UK. They have over 20 years of experience in caring for men and women with complex mental health needs and specialise in the areas of mental illness, personality disorders, learning disabilities and brain injury rehabilitation. They were recruiting for Health Care Workers and Staff Nurse (RMN/RNLD) in Annesley (Nottinghamshire), Heath (Chesterfield, Derbyshire) and Arnold (Nottinghamshire).
Allied Healthcare is a leading healthcare staffing provider, delivering care and support services to clients in their own homes and within establishments. They were recruiting for Home Care Workers and Community Support Workers in Derby City, Nottingham City and Eerewash Borough.
Care Training East Midlands is able to support individuals who would like to improve their skills in many different areas.
They are currently working with Partnerships in Care and Allied Healthcare to support individuals to improve their care skills and apply for work with the employers. They created a bespoke pre-employment courses for Partnerships in Care and a separate one for Allied Healthcare, as though both provide health and social care the roles are very different.
Results of the event
The event proved to be successful for both employers and 91 people attended the jobs fair. 7 people started and finished the Partnerships in Care pre-employment course, of which 6 have been offered full time jobs as health care workers. There were 7 people on the Allied Healthcare pre-employment course, 5 of whom got permanent jobs with Allied Healthcare. |
