What is ignite?
ignite is a training programme for young people to develop their skills to find work, an Apprenticeship or further learning. There are no term times and it can be accessed throughout the year.
What will be covered in ignite?
ignite is a combination of up-to-date, work-specific training in the young person’s chosen vocation and employability skills. ignite also includes advice and guidance to support the young person to find work or apply for further education. If they do not have Maths and English GCSEs they will have the opportunity to complete core skills such as Literacy and numeracy.
Who is eligible for ignite?
Your child can access ignite if they are 16–18 years old and are not currently in education, employment or training.
They must also have lived in the UK for three years or more, come from an EU member country or are a British Citizen.

How long does ignite last?
The support lasts for as long as it takes the young person to progress, however long or short.
