Care Training East Midlands (CTEM) has always strived to be an environmentally friendly company. We are are constantly working to lower our carbon footprint and reduce the amount of waste we produce. We can now stand proud and prove our efforts as our Environmental Management System (EMS) has been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 Certificate (certificate no: EMS 530634).

The ISO 14001:2004 is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact. The less waste Care Training East Midlands produces, the more money we are saving, making sure we are not exerting extra costs upon employers. Many organisations have achieved this award; nevertheless, we are one of the first training providers.

We were also awarded the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (certificate no: OHS 547654) for operating an Occupational Health and Safety Management System which complies with BSI requirements for the provision of training, professional development and adult guidance services.

The health and safety for our learners and employees is a high priority. The majority of Care Training East Midlands employees have achieved Level 2 Awards in Health & Safety in the Workplace (awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health).

The certificates awarded by BSI, come with stamps from UKAS demonstrating the quality of the BSI award and the meticulous attention to detail by the BSI assessors to ensure Care Training East Midlands is worthy of the award.

Rita Ford, Care Training East Midlands Managing Director, says, “I am sure very few training organisations have attempted to secure these testing standards. The assessor was very impressed with the commitment and levels of health, safety and environmental knowledge of all the staff she spoke to over the two day assessment. Our commitment to learner health and safety, and to the environment, will be interpreted positively by employers and learners alike.”

Congratulations to the health, safety and environmental team for this great achievement and well done for all your hard work.
