Care Training East Midlands (CTEM) and Central Skills understand the importance of gathering learner feedback; we want to celebrate the positive experiences that learners have had at Care Training and Central Skills. We also want learners to be honest about ways we could make improvements to the service we provide.

Throughout March and April, we ran a number of focus groups with randomly selected learners at CTEM and Central Skills from a variety of different training programmes. They gave us constructive feedback on how to improve our service, as well as the following positive comments about their time with us:

“The employability training gives you the guidance and support, you are not just left alone to job search
- they actually help you.”
Ross Spyby, Routes into Work for Retail at CTEM in Nottiingham.

“When I contacted nurseries before I came to Care Training they said they could not employ me as I had no experience and I was struggling to get on any training schemes. I feel more confident now that when I leave [CTEM] I will be able to continue applying for jobs in childcare.” Samantha Pritchard, Work Focused Training for Childcare at CTEM in Nottiingham.

“The respect staff show you is excellent.” Kieran Walker, Work Focused Training for Warehousing & Fork Lift Truck Awareness at Central Skills.

“I feel more motivated now I have my Fork Lift Truck Licence.” Glenn Ball, E2E for Warehousing, Fork Lift Truck & Distribution at Central Skills.

All learners at CTEM and Central Skills were given the opportunity to complete a paper-based feedback questionnaire. These were filled out anonymously. We got the following results:

95% of learners asked said they were either very satisfied or satisfied with the service they receive.

86% of learners asked said the respect staff show to learners is either good or very good.

95% of learners asked said the support you get is either good or very good.

81% of learners asked said that CTEM/Central Skills was either good or very good at listening to the learners views.

Thank you to all the learners who agreed to give up their time and give their opinions on the training they receive.
