Care Training held a recruitment day for East Midlands Airport (EMA) at their Nottingham office. EMA had a variety of job vacancies available in all different departments of the airport. The day was a great success as 12 people got jobs at EMA.
Natasha used to be a full time mum. When her son was able to start nursery she decided to go on a pre-employment training programme with CTEM. She now works for East Midlands Airport as a customer service assistant in their restaurant.
Danielle Purdy was determined to develop her skills. Being unsuccessful with job searching without any support she got quite frustrated. But with a little support and training from Care Training, she now has a hospitality position at East Midlands Airport.
Following a staff survey across the whole of the workforce Lands' End identified a need for training relevant to individual employee roles. Lands' End engaged with Central Skills through The Business Link Skills Portal, and now Central Skills provide them with training in the Warehouse, Administration and Customer Service Teams.
Gavin was made redundant last autumn. His self-esteem was hit again when he failed a written entrance test to become a bus driver for NCT. But after receiving support from Care Training's Skills for Jobs programme, he re-took his entrance test and passed with flying colours.
Ross had been to a similar training company for two weeks, but didn’t feel comfortable or receive the support he needed. At CTEM he really enjoyed the friendly environment.
Help was always there, and he was treated
like an adult.
Before coming to Care Training East Midlands, Sean lacked confidence and would only apply for low skilled jobs that didn’t require qualifications. Now he has Level 2 Certificates in Adult Literacy and Numeracy, as well as Health & Safety and Customer Service.
