Care Training East Midlands (CTEM) and the Nottingham Regional Society for Autistic Children and Adults (NORSACA) have teamed together to support the recruitment and training needs of NORSACA.

As a society, NORSACA has been working to support individuals living with autism for over 40 years. Not only do they provide services for those living with autism, they also run a variety of support services for families of those living with autism. These include advice surgeries and sibling groups.

This all plays a role towards the charity’s main aim: to support individuals with autism to live their lives with dignity, choice and independence.

CTEM are assisting NORSACA with their recruitment needs by providing staff ready trained to the specific needs of the society. Taking this costly activity away from NORSACA allows the society to place a higher focus on providing the best support they can.

CTEM are also working with NORSACA in the training of staff through NVQs and basic skills. The qualification will be completed in the job role; therefore staff will be applying what they are learning straight to the service users of NORSACA.

This all contributes to improving the lives of those living with autism. Lynn Beresford, the Training Manager at NORSACA feels “excited about working with a leading training company to improve the facilities to pupils, service users and their families.”
