Sarah Gould was looking for work but wasn’t keen on going back to being a waitress. She heard about Care Training through her neighbour and asked her Jobcentre Plus adviser to refer her. She’s now started a new career in childcare.
When Sherwood Playgroup took on volunteers an extra set of hands, they recognised the NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning & Development Level 2 offered a great opportunity for the volunteers to gain a qualification.
After bringing up her own children Mandy was aware that she had the skills needed to work in childcare, but was unqualified to do so. She opted for the Children First Program, after which she was offered the opportunity to complete an NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning & Development.
