Terms & Conditions of the Refer a Friend Campaign 2010
The following Terms and Conditions are used exclusively for the Refer a Friend Postcard Campaign 2010. They do not apply to any other offers and incentives ran by Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills.
Terminology
- Referring Person The person recommending a friend or colleague to the Apprenticeship through the completion of the postcard.
- Referred Friend The friend or person being recommended for the Apprenticeship.
- We Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills staff.
- Marketing Team The employees of Care Training East Midlands that have instigated and ran the Refer a Friend Campaign.
- Apprenticeship Started/Starts The time at which the person who has been referred for the Apprenticeship actually commences training on either the NVQ or Technical Certificate.
- Apprenticeship The work-based training programme the 16–18 year old can access.
- Apprentice The person accessing the government funded training programme as a part of their work position.
- The Referral Reward The £20 Boots Gift Voucher.
- Referral Postcard The A6 postcard with Freepost to send interest of the Apprenticeship to Care Training East Midlands.
1. Accessing the Apprenticeship
- In order to access the Apprenticeship the referred friend must:
- be aged between 16 and 18 at the time of starting the Apprenticeship
- have lived in the UK for three years or more, come from an EU member country or be a British Citizen.
- be working in a role relevant to that of the Apprenticeship. They must be able to complete all the mandatory units of the NVQ associated with that Apprenticeship.
- be paid a minimum of £2.50 an hour.
- The person accessing the Apprenticeship must meet all the eligibility criteria in order to access funding. They cannot access funding for reasons such as:
- they do not have the right to remain in the UK
- they are living in the UK on a student visa
- they are volunteering in an organisation
- they are not being paid the minimum wage of £2.50 an hour.
2. The Offer
- This offer only applies to an Apprenticeship offered by Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills. It does not apply to any other provision or programme available through Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills.
- The Offer does not apply to an Apprenticeship provided by any other organisation, college or training provider.
- The £20 Boots voucher will not be given for referrals that are not signed up and started on the Apprenticeship.
- The offer is only currently valid until 31st August 2010.
- To claim the £20 Boots voucher the referred friend must have signed up to, and started, an Apprenticeship with Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills only. The reward cannot be claimed if the referred friend signs up for an Apprenticeship with another training provider or college.
3. Process of claiming the reward
- The Referring Person must complete the Referral Postcard with their friend’s/colleague’s details and return it to The Marketing Team at Care Training East Midlands. This is a freepost postcard, no stamp required.
- The Marketing Team will receive the Referral Postcard and contact the Referred Friend to assess their eligibility for the Apprenticeship.
- If the Referred Friend is eligible for the Apprenticeship the Marketing Team will forward details through to the Employer Engagement Team to commence the enrolment process.
- The Marketing Team will log the details of the eligible customer and will liaise with the Delivery Team to find out when the Referred Friend is signed up for the Apprenticeship and the training has started. Once this has been done the Marketing Team will send the £20 Boots Voucher to the Referring Person.
- If the Referred Friend is not eligible the Marketing Team will explain why not to the Referred Friend.
The Referral Reward
- The £20 Boots vouchers will not be sent to the referring person until the Marketing Team at Care Training East Midlands has received confirmation that part of the Apprenticeship (either the NVQ or Technical Certificate) has been started.
- The Referral Reward will be sent by first class post only.
- Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills will not accept any responsibility for vouchers put in the post that get lost or stolen.
- There is no cash alternative. The vouchers are not exchangeable for any other services delivered by Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills.
5. The Referred Friend
- The Referring Person must have an existing personal/business relationship with the Referred Friend.
- It is your personal understanding that the Referred Friend would be interested in receiving information about the Apprenticeship either through telephone or written communications.
- The Referred Friend must be a new learner to Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills who has not previously completed any training with Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills.
- Training is subject to an eligibility check. Not all referred people will be successful in their application.
- There is only one £20 Boots voucher available per person being referred. Therefore two people cannot refer the same person. The £20 Boots voucher will be given to the Referring Person as long as their postcard is received first to the Marketing Team at Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills.
- An individual cannot refer themselves for the offer.
6. The Referring Person
- The person referring the friend may refer as many friends as they wish. They will only receive one £20 voucher per person that actually gets signed up and started on the Apprenticeship.
- By sending the information to Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills you are consenting for Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills to provide information to your friend/colleague on your behalf. This will include reference to your name.
- Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills reserve the right to exclude you from this scheme if we believe you to be accessing the vouchers under a fraudulent situation. Care Training East Midlands and Central Skills are not obliged to provide a reason for such exclusion.
7. Data Protection
- The data provided through the referral postcard will be used to contact the Referred Friend to see if they would be interested in completing the Apprenticeship and to assess eligibility.
- The data provided through the referral postcard of the Referring Person will be used to inform them whether the Referred Friend has successfully started the Apprenticeship and whether the Referring Person will receive the Referral Reward.
- The data provided through the referral postcard may be used at a later date to contact either the Person Referring or the Referred Friend to see if either person is interested in any further training.
- The data provided will also be used for monitoring the success of the initiative.
8. Care Training and Central Skills
- Care Training and Central Skills reserve the right to withdraw this promotion at any time.
